In its twenty-five years of serving the community of Charleston, the South Carolina Aquarium has fought for the education and preservation of the animals, oceans and landscapes of South Carolina. Through many conservation efforts, research teams and even a hospital dedicated to rehabilitation of sea turtles, the aquarium has exceeded expectations.

To fulfill the purpose of bringing in new funding and awareness for all the South Carolina Aquarium has to offer, a twenty-five year anniversary rebrand was created. Utilizing new logos, imagery and touch points that celebrate the past and future of the aquarium breathes new passion and life back into the community that the SCA has poured itself into tenfold.

By having three campaign logos, each could highlight an aspect of the aquarium to highlight and help support. This branding overall needed to feel exciting, passionate and energetic to drawn in a new and returning customers alike.

  • A Primary “25” lockup emulating the waves of the Charleston harbor

  • A Sea Turtle with a “25” as its iconic pattern to highlight the aquarium’s resident loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta

  • A combination of the primary “25” and a sea turtle head specifically to highlight the sea turtle hospital and its efforts
