Prompt: Create a contemporary butcher shop as an innovative space that combines traditional butchery with modern culinary trends, creating a unique destination for food enthusiasts. Includes restaurant space, bar, and charcuterie offerings located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Brand Story: Mikey is a college drop out from New Jersey who heard about Kalamazoo’s art and music scene and moved there for a fresh start. He is motivated by wanting to build something that would contribute to the culture of Kalamazoo by bringing in his background - both aesthetically and professionally. In the end, he decided to open a butcher shop with his untraditional alternative style and attitude in Kalamazoo. Inspired by the rebellious founder of Kalamazoo, Titus Bronson, he decided to name his shop after him and in honor of the other rebellious misfits like themselves.
Using a sharp and edgy sans-serif for the main typeface allows for a pairing of an unique yet interesting subheading. The logo of the ‘lightning cow’ blends the punk rock vibe of the butcher shop with its intended purpose - to serve local and fresh meats to the people of Kalamazoo.
After dark, the back portion of the building opens up to become a live-music venue that showcases local talent. Any and all are welcome (21 and up of course) to come drink, hang, and make memories in a place dedicated to the outsiders.
